Manual Surge Coupling/Decoupling Network

TeseqThe CDN 3083-S100M injects standard 1.2/50-µs combination wave surges up to 8-kV open-circuit and up to 4 kA, 8/20-µs surge short circuit into an EUT’s main power supply. It provides overload capacity on each 100-A phase during short periods. Special choke technology enables the CDN to meet all three IEC filter inductance classes, and an auto-adaptive back filter fulfills surge protection and voltage drop requirements. Coupling modes include surge differential, lines to ground, and common to ground with an ANSI coupling set. Decoupling conditions are per IEC 61000-4-5 and ANSI C62.45.

Absorber and Shielding Tapes

The AB6005 Series features absorber, shielding, and insulating layers integrated in one flexible tape for applications in electronic devices such as mobile hand-helds, digital still cameras, and LCD televisions. When the layers are varied in three constructions, the tapes perform different shielding and absorbing functions, isolating and separating EMI and RFI transmitters and receivers. One of the tapes also handles ESD grounding. The thin tape can be easily converted into specific shapes.

Single-Phase Filters

LCR ElectronicsThe RoHS-compliant single-stage F9100 Filters and double-stage F9200 Filters operate over a -40°C to +85°C temperature range. The single-phase, COTS 115/250-VAC 50/60-Hz filters are available with rated current from 5 A to 35 A in general-purpose and low-leakage-current versions. Hipot test voltage for both series is 1,450 VDC line-to-line and 2,250 VDC line-to-ground. Insertion loss for the F9100 measured in a 50-Ω system for 50-kHz to 30-MHz frequency ranges from 5 dB to 45 dB in common mode and 5 dB to 35 dB in differential mode. Insertion loss for the F9200 spans 5 dB to 80 dB in common mode and 10 dB to 75 dB in differential mode under the same conditions.

Graphite-Filled Epoxy

Master BondPolymer System EP75-1 is a graphite-filled, electrically conductive epoxy for RFI/EMC shielding and grounding applications. Formulated to cure at room temperatures, this two-part epoxy develops a bonding strength of >1,500 psi tensile shear. Volume resistivity of the cured system is 50 to 100 Ω-cm. The system also features nonmagnetic properties and lubricity and does not contain solvents or diluents. The bonds are adaptable to thermal cycling and resistant to chemicals including water, oils, acids, and bases. The temperature range is -60°F to +250°F.

Gain Horns

Nardia MicrowaveThe seven models in the 600 Series of standard gain horn antennas cover 2.6 to 3.95 GHz, 3.95 to 5.85 GHz, 5.4 to 8.2 GHz, 8.2 to 12.4 GHz, 14 to 18 GHz, 18 to 26.5 GHz, and 26.5 to 40 GHz. Directivity patterns include a beamwidth in the E and H planes from 23 degrees at 40 GHz to 34 degrees at 2.6 GHz. Sidelobes in the H plane are more than 20 dB down; the first sidelobes in the E plane are 13 dB down, and second sidelobes are 18 dB down.Gain at midfrequency is 16.5 dBi ±1.5 dB over the operating bandwidth. VSWR of all models is 1.15:1 or less.

Single- and Three-Phase Filters

The R Series Filters come in single-phase and three-phase versions and feature several connection options. The current ratings for the single-phase units range from 0.5 A to 300 A with line voltages up to 250 VAC or 250 VDC and leakage currents of 1 mA. Low leakage models are available with 10 µA of leakage current at 250 VAC, 60 Hz. The three-phase filters have current ratings from 6 A to 1,000 A with line voltages up to 500 VAC or 500 VDC. The maximum leakage current is 2.5 mA at 250 VAC and 60 Hz or 5 mA at 500 VAC, 60 Hz. The operating temperature range is -25°C to +85°C.

TDK-Lambda

Broadband Amplifier

The 5193 is a 50-W, multi-octave broadband solid-state RF amplifier that covers the 2-GHz to 6-GHz frequency range. This 5.25-inch, lightweight amplifier meets the RF power requirement of EN 61000-4-3:2006. It uses gallium nitride RF power transistors to provide a high 3rd order intercept point and a wide dynamic gain range. An optional digital controller displays the amplifier operating status and remote interface with Ethernet, IEEE 488, and RS-232.

Multi-Extrusion Gaskets

The new EMI Gemini™ product line combines a thin, electrically conductive filler elastomer gasket layer and an inner, nonconductive silicone-coated core gasket. The conductive portion, usually loaded with silver, aluminum, nickel, or copper, and the cost are reduced due to the substitution of the silicone core. The gasket can be extruded in various sizes and profiles and retains EMI protection performance with a lower deflection while sealing against environmental influences such as moisture and dust. The gasket is manufactured in parallel using a ram and/or screw-type extrusion equipment.

Continuous Gaskets for Honeycomb Vents

Tech-EtchA new continuous integrated BeCu gasket can be mechanically installed under the inner perimeter of the aluminum extrusion frame of honeycomb vents. No tooling is required to attach the gasket to the vents. After completion, the entire vent system is plated as one piece so all honeycomb cells, the BeCu integrated gaskets, and the frame are joined to increase conductivity and shielding effectiveness. The company manufactures custom and standard EMI shielded honeycomb vents and filters featuring strong, light-weight aluminum frames with various media options. Many RoHS-compliant finishes are available.
