Tektronix Receives Intel's Preferred Quality Supplier Award

BEAVERTON, OR, March 17, 2008

Tektronix was named a recipient of Intel 2007 Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for outstanding performance in providing products and services deemed essential to Intel's success. The company is awarded for its efforts supplying Intel with validation test equipment. Tektronix and 34 additional PQS award winners were honored at a celebration in Burlingame, CA, on March 18.

"We have a passion for enabling the success of our customers, and receiving the Preferred Quality Supplier award from Intel is a validation of our commitment," said Jim Lico, president of Tektronix. "We are honored to play a role in Intel's success, and we recognize that continuous improvement, which is a key element of this award, is central to our ability to provide this level of service year after year."

"Tektronix support of Intel Quick Path Interconnect was a critical element in an on-time delivery of our next-generation platform," said John D. Barton, vice president, Digital Enterprise Group and GM Platform Validation Engineering, Intel. "The Tektronix team demonstrated technical and management excellence in helping to bring this complex technology to the market. Intel, Tektronix and our mutual customers are benefiting and will continue to benefit from this excellent work."

The PQS awards are part of Intel's Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) process that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80% on a report card that assesses performance and capability to meet cost, quality, availability, delivery, technology, and responsiveness goals. Suppliers also must manage and deliver on a challenging improvement plan and a quality systems assessment.
