VTI Microwave Introduces Custom Integration Services to Build RFIU Test Systems in RF/Microwave OEM Market

VTI Microwave, a business unit of VXI Technology, Inc. (VTI), has announced the launch of Custom Integration Services to assist its customers in the design and development of customized RFIU test systems. Recognizing that developing and documenting a complete test solution to meet stringent specifications can become a difficult and time-consuming task, VTI Microwave brings its range of products and design experience together to help customers overcome these challenges.
VTI's Custom Integration Services range from providing LXI Class A modular subsystem units for a customer's in-house design to an outsourced build of an entire RFIU custom system by VTI Microwave. Designed with a focus on hardware and software reusability and long-term supportability, VTI solutions leverage a combination of modularity and standardized software tools to provide the greatest level of flexibility throughout the operational life of the test system.
With customized RFIU test systems configured and built to specification by VTI's Custom Integration Services, customers receive 3-D models of all designs, full system documentation, and a repeatable test and manufacturing process. Leveraging VTI's EX7000 RF/Microwave Subsystems for a standard reusable platform, VTI Microwave customers have confidence in using components from best-in-class manufacturers, standard open-architecture interfaces, and powerful Web-based monitor and control of RFIU test systems.
To build complete test systems, VTI Microwave uses its Web-based VTI Microwave Configurator and best-in-class third-party component database to accelerate the system development. VTI's high-performance, scalable LXI Class A subsystems provide the hardware platform. The modular units, which also are sold stand-alone to customers for in-house builds, include an OEM Universal Relay Driver and I/O, modular microwave switches covering ranges from DC to 40 GHz, and custom enclosures. Design tools include SolidWorks(tm) 3-D modeling. This new service helps to eliminate the guesswork and uncertainty surrounding the microwave subsystem design process, reducing overall system and engineering costs.
